At one time,these handled trays were very common and essential.  Before the days we had abundant kitchen storage they held knives, forks and spoons and saw every day use.  The tray provided a great way to transport the silverware to the dinning table and store it in between meals.  Although this original purpose might somewhat obsolete, I don't think you'll have any trouble finding a way to keep this tray full.  It is ideal for holding craft, sewing, and hobby supplies and any small objects that need to be carried from place to place or just stored.  This tray is 10"W x 16"L x 3"D, made from alder, a cedar turned handle and has beautiful spayed sides with box joints and nicely contoured.
