Lane Hope Chest This beautiful Hope chest from the 1940s had been painted in the 70s. I stripped and fixed veneer problems and apply a traditional Shellac French polish and applied Cedar oil to the Cedar on the inside. Absolutely beautiful! Trunk Made of Black American Walnut, Mahogany, Cherry.
Hope Chest. From the 1940s.The finish on this chest was not in terrible shape but was deteriorating and had major veneer damage in multiple Places also missing veneer, missing molding on lid also cedar on the inside was dry and had lost all oils. I stripped , fixed all veneer issues, sanded ,replaced missing molding, filled grain, and applied a traditional shellac French polish.
